Alton Brown puts Dallas on the menu for his Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour

Food television personality Alton Brown is back on the road with the return of Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour, and Dallas is on the list.
Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour begins October 21 in Athens, Georgia, before heading to additional cities, including New York, Seattle, Washington D.C. and Dallas, where he'll stop at the Majestic Theatre on October 26.
Ticket sales begin on Friday, June 6.
This tour comes on the heels of the successful inaugural run to 46 U.S. cities, one that included Austin, at the beginning of 2014. The show is a blend of food and theater, with comedy, live music, talk show antics, puppets and "extreme" food experimentation. In a Gallagher-esque move, ponchos are provided for those in the first few rows.
There's also an interactive component, in which Brown invites audience members on stage to serve as his assistant.
"We have combined science, music, food and a few other things no one in his right mind would allow me to do on TV, into a two-hour extravaganza that's fun for the whole family," says Brown in a release. He's written most of the musical numbers, which all take a comedic look at food.
Brown, author of seven books, such as the James Beard Award-winning I'm Just Here for the Food, has hosted numerous food shows, including Iron Chef America. He currently serves as host on the game show Cutthroat Kitchen and as a mentor/judge on Food Network Star, which premiered its 10th season on June 1. He created, produced and hosted the Peabody Award-winning series Good Eats for 13 years on Food Network, which still can be seen on the Cooking Channel.
