Pinstack spinoff pairs bowling and movies for hip new venue in Garland
UPDATE 12-19-2019: Strike + Reel opened on December 19.

The company that brought us Pinstack, the successful entertainment chain that combines bowling and food, is doing it one better, with a new concept that partners bowling, food, and movies.
Called Strike + Reel, it'll have movies, bowling, and eating. The first location will open in Garland, at George Bush Tollway and Holford Road, in 2019.
According to a release, the concept is named after its roots in bowling and cinema. It'll be a 90,000-square-foot venue featuring dine-in movie auditoriums with plush amenities including large-format screens, luxury recliners, and full bar service.
A unique entertainment destination, it will also feature bowling, interactive video games and attractions, and a "chef-inspired" restaurant and bar concept.
This is a real "get" for Garland and northeast Dallas which is short on hip things, but which does have AMF Garland Lanes, a bowling entertainment venue at LBJ and Centerville Road.
Featuring a + sign in its name, Strike + Reel comes from Entertainment Properties Group, which was founded in 2005 and is based in Dallas. It operates entertainment and dining destinations under multiple brands that include Pinstack, which has seriously upped the bowling game in DFW with three locations at Plano, Allen, and Las Colinas.
Entertainment Properties Group CEO Mark Moore says that their goal with Strike + Reel is to be engaging.
"Our mission is to create fun and memorable experiences for our guests and team by providing engaging dining and entertainment destinations," he says. "We have been working on this concept for quite some time and we are excited to announce the first location here in our North Texas home."
