Sprouts Farmers Market spreads organic produce bargains throughout Texas
King of affordable organic produce, Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding its Texas presence with four new stores scheduled to open in late summer. Two will be located in the Mid-Cities area between Dallas and Fort Worth.
The stores are scheduled to open as follows:
- August 6: Hurst
- August 20: Spring
- August 27: Cedar Park
- September 10: Arlington
The 26,000-square-foot Arlington store, at 5711 W. Interstate 20 Hwy, will become the 16th Sprouts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The supermarket is hiring approximately 100 full- and part-time team members for the store.
Sprouts offers consumers a complete healthy grocery store experience, with fresh produce, bulk foods, dairy, meat and seafood, bakery, and vitamins and supplements. The produce assortment includes many organic items that are generally much lower than the obvious competition, Whole Foods Markets.
An in-house bakery churns out fresh-baked goods, and the expansive bulk section contains barrels of grains, nuts and sweets. The wine and beer selections are eclectic, with many craft offerings. Sprouts also sells thousands of natural, organic and gluten-free groceries.
Onsite butchers help customers with special cuts of meat or seafood or homemade burgers and sausages. The vitamin department carries thousands of vitamins, natural remedies, functional food, lifestyle support and herbal supplements.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Sprouts Farmers Market employs more than 15,000 people and operates more than 170 stores in nine states.
