Newest concept at Toyota Music Factory in Irving: street tacos
Toyota Music Factory, the buzzy entertainment complex in Irving, has a new restaurant in the works: Pacheco Taco Bar is a Mexico City-inspired taqueria offering street tacos, margaritas, and ceviche.
According to a release, it'll open in early August.
The owner is Elias Pacheco, who also owns a sit-down restaurant in Sherman called Tacos Pacheco. In a statement, he says he's excited to bring Mexican street food to Irving and the guests at Toyota Music Factory.
"Expanding our concept to Las Colinas, we will bring the heat with a fast-casual, fresh Latin flair, and an original charm inspired by the mercados in Mexico City," he says.
If the new Irving location is anything like the one in Sherman, then Irving seems to be in for a treat. The Sherman original gets raves for its "delicious" food, "excellent" customer service, freshly made salsas, and Elias Pacheco's friendly and accommodating personality.
It also seems to boast a rare kind of authenticity, with half of its online reviews written in Spanish. The menu includes tacos with corn or flour tortillas, tostadas, quesadillas, tortas, chile relleno, burritos, grilled tilapia, shrimp in diablo sauce, and more.
Pacheco Taco Bar will occupy a 2,400-square-foot space facing Las Colinas Boulevard, designed by Gensler Architects, with an indoor-outdoor bar.
Tacos Pacheco will be a short walk to the performance stage in Texas Lottery Plaza and adjacent to The Pavilion VIP entrance at Toyota Music Factory.
Noah Lazes, president and CEO of ARK Group, says in a release that Tacos Pacheco represents another Texas-based concept for the complex.
"Joining other hometown favorites such as Green Gator, Reservoir, and Mama Tried, we believe Pacheco will be the go-to casual stop where our guests can feel at home whether they’re watching a soccer game, enjoying the patio, or stopping in for a quick bite," Lazes says.
