TBD details
Only pretty people need apply at Uptown Dallas' latest nightlife lounge
The new Uptown Dallas restaurant-bar TBD, located at the corner of McKinney Avenue and Hall Street, has an opening date: August 11. In the kitchen is new-to-town chef Jesse Ragon; on the service team are models from the Campbell Agency, “adding an extra dose of attractiveness to this unique concept,” according to a release.
That unique concept is a full-service restaurant that transitions into a high-energy lounge at night, making it a “one-stop destination for people to enjoy good food, good drinks and lively dancing in a polished setting.”
Chef Ragon comes from Texarkana, where he most recently served as executive sous chef at Timothy’s Gourmet Grill. His menu was developed to complement restaurant’s clean design, with “beautifully plated communal dishes that can be easily shared among friends.” Items include tuna tacos, lobster mac and cheese, flatbreads, boards, and entrées such as Chilean sea bass and filet.
The interior features a white-on-white bar and brown leather banquettes, with a rotating collection of local and national art. A covered patio expands the space and “anchors one of the hottest corners in the city.”
“We envisioned TBD as a place where our friends and their friends could be comfortable, a place where people can let loose, have fun and experience something different than the typical night out,” said TBD owner Alex Marko. “From our design to our menu, our music to our staff, we’re bringing Dallas a whole new nightlife experience.”
