Steakhouse blooms in new retail center by Dallas-Fort Worth Airport
There's steakhouse action in the mid-cities with a new branch of Outback Steakhouse opening in Euless at 2601 SH 121 on October 18. Managing partner Scott Ruka says in a release that the company is honored to be part of the community. Following the company's pattern with new openings, the restaurant will make a donation to a local charity, this time a group called 6 Stones.
If you haven't left your house lately, Outback is the Australian-themed chain serving steaks, seafood, and steakhouse fare. Its parent company is Bloomin' Brands, which also owns Carraba's, Bonefish Grill, and Fleming's Steakhouse.
This opening is a pleasant surprise, coming as it does after a round of closures that Bloomin' Brands executed in February, when it shuttered 43 restaurants that were not performing well.
But before you get overly excited, it really just replaces a previous location at 1031 W. SH 114 in Grapevine, which closed on October 10. A spokesperson calls it a "relocation," following a trend of recent Outback relocations in Florida and Oklahoma City.
"The new Euless location is at the new Glade Parks retail center, which offers improved access and visibility," the spokesperson says.
There are 14 Outbacks overall in the DFW area, with the closest branches to Euless being in Hurst and Irving. If you live in the mid-cities and you like Outback, you're all set.
The new Outback will serve all of the chain's signature dishes: grilled steaks, chicken, seafood, and the famed eye-catching Bloomin' Onion fried appetizer. This location also boasts a new-ish "Modern Australia" design, which seems to consist of photos of kangaroos, desert and seaside landscapes, wood fittings, and images of random kitchen accessories such as seasonings and knives.
Bloomin' Brands, Inc. was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
