    Thanksgiving comes late in 2019, all the way to November 28. If you're not up for cooking, this master list has all the Dallas restaurants that are open on the holiday, serving brunch, dinner, and everything in between.

    Most require reservations, so it's not too early to make your plan.

    Check out the menus at these restaurants waiting to serve you on Thanksgiving:

    Avanti
    Three-course menu includes soup or salad, turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and pecan pie or pumpkin pie for dessert. Regular dinner menu is also available. 11:30 am-2:30 pm, 5:30-10 pm. $42. 214-871-4955.

    Blue Mesa Grill
    Special holiday brunch includes roast turkey and glazed ham carving station, corncake stuffing, baked mac 'n cheese, sweet potatoes, apple-kale salad, and cranberry-jalapeno relish. Dessert table features pumpkin flan, chocolate chunk cookies, banana pudding, ice cream sundaes, and nutty pecan-walnut bars.     Cannon's Corner
    Oak Cliff bar features the special Earl's Holiday Sandwich with turkey, cornbread stuffing, and cranberry spread on focaccia bread, for $11. 3 pm-2 am. 214-643-6442.

    CBD Provisions
    Open for brunch and dinner with a la carte menus that include holiday classics and selections from the regular menu. Brunch includes buttermilk hotcakes topped with blueberry butter and lemon-shortbread crumble and a turkey plate with cornbread dressing, sage gravy, and cranberry chutney. Dinner includes butternut squash veloute, acorn squash hummus, turkey plate, sweet potato casserole, green beans, pimento cheese toast, steak frites, and Gulf catch.     City Hall Bistro

    City Works
    Frisco restaurant located at The Star offers choice of entree from prime rib with horseradish cream and au jus ($45) or turkey with gravy ($35) comes with access to the Thanksgiving Sides Buffet, featuring green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, chipotle maple glazed sweet potato, cranberry sauce, corn bread Andouille sausage stuffing, cheddar potato gratin, Brussels sprouts, bourbon-glazed carrots, and more.     Cool River

    Del Frisco's Grille

    Dodie's at The Harbor

    Knife Dallas
    Restaurant at the Highland Dallas will be open with regular menu for breakfast and lunch, 6:30-10:30 am, and 11:30 am-2 pm.

    Kona Grill
    Special holiday meals include turkey dinner for $24 with turkey breast, miso mashed potatoes & cream gravy, brioche stuffing, sautéed green beans, and ginger-yuzu infused cranberry sauce; and macadamia nut-crusted turkey ($26) with miso mashed potatoes, shoyu cream sauce, sautéed caulilini, and ginger-yuzu infused cranberry sauce.     Law Restaurant at Four Seasons
    Brunch with all the classics including chicken-fried turkey and cornbread waffles, whole roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, apple and sausage dressing, roasted acorn squash, raw bar and hand-rolled sushi, poke station, hand-carved meats, custom omelettes, bourbon bananas foster french toast, eggs benedict as well as a kid-themed buffet. En entire room is dedicated to desserts including a liquid nitrogen ice cream bar and caramel dipped apple station.     Lawry's The Prime Rib Dallas
    Special entrees includes turkey, filet mignon, Scottish salmon, Colorado lamb chops, and prime rib in the Five Crowns Cut or Henry VIII.     Legacy Hall
    Plano food hall will show Cowboys vs. Bills game on the big screen in the Box Garden, and all bars and stalls will be open 3-11 pm.

    The Mansion

    Meddlesome Moth
    Brunch includes featured turkey plate in addition to a la carte brunch offerings.     Dallas' top doughnut shop is expanding: La Rue Doughnuts, the chef-owned doughnut shop in Dallas' Trinity Groves, is opening a second location in Frisco, at 4747 4th Army Dr., in a small strip center just off Lebanon Road, between the high-profile shopping centers of Legacy Ranch and West Side Market.

    They're taking over a space previously occupied by Mava's Kitchen, a short-lived Indian restaurant. According to owners Amy and Casey La Rue, the doughnut shop will open in early summer.

    "It will be similar to our location at Trinity Groves, with a counter and a few outdoor tables," Casey says. "We'll just be focused on being a good neighborhood coffee and pastry place."

    The couple are both acclaimed chefs who got into the doughnut business as an offshoot of their award-winning restaurant Carte Blanche, which was open during the day as a bakery selling pastries, croissants, and doughnuts.

    "Doughnuts were among the many items we offered at the bakery, but one of our more popular items," Amy says.

    They closed Carte Blanche and debuted the La Rue Doughnuts concept at Trinity Groves in West Dallas in 2024, giving the doughnut category an artisanal spin with creative chef-caliber icings and ingredients such as guava and pistachio.

    La Rue Doughnuts has enjoyed great success, selling out on the first day and earning a loyal following of fans who watch for the shop's new menus, issued at the beginning of every month.

    They feature a variety including brioche doughnuts, cake doughnuts, and crullers, the unique twisty doughnut with a churro-like groove which has become their signature. Due to overwhelming demand, they eventually added croissants, and in recent months, they've expanded into savory entree-style options.

    May's savory flavors include a farm-vegetable pinwheel featuring a laminated croissant-style pastry topped with charred squash, green garlic pesto, and ricotta cheese; and a birria pocket — a pastry that capitalizes on the buzzy birria trend, with braised beef shank in an adobo marinade with Oaxaca cheese, encased in flaky puff pastry, served with the traditional consomme for dipping.

    Opening more locations was always a goal, and the location hit all the right buttons, including its proximity to many surrounding homes as well as BF Phillips Community Park, a 117-acre public park that's home to a golf course and a dedicated dog park.

    "People can get doughnuts, go to the dog park, best day ever," Casey quips.

    “Frisco has felt like a natural fit for us for a long time," he says. "A huge number of our guests already make the drive from Frisco and the surrounding area on weekends, so opening there felt less like expanding into a new market and more like becoming part of a community that’s already been supporting us. We love the energy of the city, the growth happening there, and how much people in Frisco genuinely embrace great food and hospitality."
