It’s the busiest time of year for most of us, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make time for a dinner with one of France’s most esteemed Champagne houses or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, a white trash Christmas bash featuring a dwarf Santa.

See you out there.

The Dinner Detective Dallas at Crowne Plaza Hotel
At this interactive murder mystery, actors are hidden among the customers, making everyone a suspect in this thrilling and hilarious evening out. The $59.95 admission includes a four-course meal and dinner show. Buy tickets online.

White Trash Christmas Party at Truck Yard
Festivities include a dwarf Santa who sits on your lap (8-10 pm), courtesy of Eddie “The Dwarfguy” Zanetti, and an ugly sweater contest (9-11 pm) on the outdoor stage. To get you through, there are new hot cocktails: Bishop Punch with mulled wine, rum and Grand Marnier, and Ancho Cocoa with Abuelita, tequila and Ancho Reyes. Those are $6 each. For sustenance, there are food trucks, of course.
