Break Out the Bubbly Sparkling Wine Class at Whole Foods Preston Forest
Join wine expert Max Johnson for a tasting tour of Whole Foods Market’s finest sparkling wines — from sweet to dry and everything in between. Enjoy samplings and pairings and learn how to elevate your festivities. This event is free, but you must register, because seating is limited. The first bottle pops at 6:30 pm.

Deep Ellum Wine Walk
At this relatively new community event, pick up a passport when you purchase a glass for $5 (or mug for $8), and embark on a sip-and-shop tour of Deep Ellum. Get stamps on your passport at any five of the 16 participating locations, and enter the drawing for gift certificates from neighborhood merchants. Wine Walk venues include Akola Project, B4, Dallas PinUp, Dallas School of Burlesque, Deep Ellum Trading Company and many more. Check in at 2650-B Main at 5 pm.
La Noche Buena at San Salvaje
San Salvaje is hosting a candlelit evening in honor of Mexico’s holy and celebrated holiday, Nochebuena. Guests enjoy a three-course, family-style meal, including shrimp ceviche amarillo, spicy chicken tinga chalupas, guajillo-roasted stuckling pig, turkey in mole poblano, chilaquiles de calabacitas, clay pot black beans and corn, and chocolate champurrado tamales dulce. Treats of Christmas at NorthPark Center
Join NorthPark Center for the ultimate holiday bake sale benefiting the North Texas Food Bank’s Cooking Matters program. Presented by the Texas Chefs Association, dozens of area restaurants and catering companies present an assortment of gourmet cakes, sweets, pies and cookies available for purchase. Be on the lookout for special booths from the University of North Texas, Royal Oaks Country Club, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Hyatt Regency, Highland Park Cafeteria, El Centro College, 3015 Trinity Groves and many more — totaling 30 in all. The fun lasts from 10 am-7 pm.
