Bojangles fried chicken chain celebrates 2 Dallas-area openings
In better-late-than-never news, Bojangles, the Southern fried chicken chain, is hosting events at its two most recent store openings in the Dallas area with giveaways and fanfare.
According to a release, the chain known for its biscuits and iced tea will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies at its locations in Little Elm and Frisco, which will take place on May 14, which they note happens to be National Buttermilk Biscuit Day, surely a coincidence.
The locations are as follows
- Bojangles Little Elm, at 2823 Eldorado Pkwy.
- Bojangles Frisco, 1631 US 380
The Little Elm ribbon-cutting is at 9:30 am, while the Frisco ribbon-cutting is at 2 pm. If you were really dedicated, you could attend both in the same day.
Bojangles was founded in 1977 and enjoys a strong following across the Southeast. It is known for its chicken tenders; plus Southern sides like seasoned fries, dirty rice, mac & cheese, and coleslaw.
When it was first announced it would be coming to DFW, it provoked a ripple of anticipation, but that was back in 2021 when the fried chicken thing was trending. There are now Bojangles in Lancaster, Euless, and Wylie, as well as the abovementioned Little Elm and Frisco.
It must be pointed out that the Little Elm store has been open since mid-2023, and the Frisco store opened in December 2023. So this is a rather late ribbon-cutting. But celebrations are never a bad idea, and the rewards are rich: The first 50 customers in line prior to the ceremony receive a mystery gift card valued at up to $100. There will also be music, entertainment and other giveaways throughout the day.
On that same day, all Dallas-area residents can get a free three-piece Bo’s Chicken Tenders combo, if they're willing to download the Bojangles app, use the code “Dallas,” and visit either the Little Elm or Frisco location to redeem.
