Dallas digital food hall adds THC mocktail that promises 'supreme buzz'
Here's a product that is so 2024: Called Cali Sober, it's a THC-infused mocktail which promises a "supreme buzz" and it will be available in Dallas out of oomi Kitchen, the digital food hall at 3510 Ross Ave., starting February 28.
Founded by cannabis entrepreneur Flip Croft Caderao, Cali Sober is a totally legal, real THC mocktail, sold in 12-ounce cans, that provides a supreme buzz without the hangover. According to a release, every can delivers a consistent, predictable experience with a 10-15 minute onset.
The drink is formulated to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and elevate mood without impairing judgment or causing unwanted side effects. The result is a euphoric buzz that promotes positivity and good vibes.
THC drinks are now legal in some U.S. states, thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill that removed hemp from the controlled substance list, as long as the THC is less than 0.3 percent by weight. Cali Sober mocktails are 0 percent ABV and less than 0.3 percent THC, and can therefore be purchased and shipped to select states, including Texas, legally.
Cali Sober comes in three flavors: Paloma Spritz, Ranch Water, and Berry Ginger Fizz, and is around $6 to $7 per can, depending on vendor.
Oomi Kitchen is the digital food where customers can order from multiple concepts at once including Clucky’s Damn Good Chicken (fried chicken and wings), Love Bowls (healthy-leaning bowls), Savage Rabbit (salads), Hot Lips (Asian-inspired dishes), and Bowlrito (bowls and burritos). Partner brands currently offered are local brands Urban Taco and Tribal Juices. Offerings from Fuel America and Açai Revolution will be debuting soon. Oomi will also launch Biscuit Royale (breakfast biscuits) and Just Yolking (breakfast tacos) in 2024.
Oomi co-founder Markus Pineyro met Caderao when the two were both attending SMU and they've looked for ways to work together since graduation.
“We’re stoked to be bringing Cali Sober to my hometown, Dallas, and even more excited to be doing it with a Dallas homie like Markus," Caderao says in a statement.
“We like to think we know what is trending in the market and always try to stay ahead of what’s next," Pineyro says. "These Cali Sober mocktails sounded too fun not to give Dallas the chance to try them here first.“We deliver the food to cure munchies, so why not help cause them too?”
