A hotly anticipated cafe is opening in Dallas' Highland Park starring a major international chef: Called Cafe Dior by Dominique Crenn, it'll reside inside the recently-opened Dior store at 58 Highland Park Village, under the direction of acclaimed Michelin-starred chef Dominique Crenn.
According to a spokesperson, the restaurant will be open for lunch and tea service, with a target opening date in February. UPDATE 2-12-2025: Cafe Dior will open on February 22.
Crenn is a native of France, based in California with a portfolio of renowned restaurants that includes Atelier Crenn, her 3-star Michelin restaurant in San Francisco; Bar Crenn, a craft cocktail destination next door; and Le Comptoir, a dinner experience residing inside Bar Crenn which has also earned one Michelin star for its tasting menu.
She's the first and only female chef in the U.S. to be awarded three Michelin Stars. At her flagship Atelier Crenn, she celebrates California's bounty, highlighting plants and seafood from the region, incorporating indigenous plants, practices, and influences that are the essence of the Golden State. Sustainability is a priority.
Beyond the Michelin stars, Crenn has earned numerous accolades such as coming in at No. 10 on Robb Report's 50 Most Powerful People in American Fine Dining, James Beard Awards, and appearances on multiple TV shows including The Next Iron Chef, Chef’s Table, and Top Chef France.

She has worked with brands such as Les Bateaux Belmond where she is culinary curator for their cruises, and has created menus for Air France. She also famously mentored Ralph Fiennes for his role chef in the 2022 film The Menu. On a fun personal note, in May 2024, she and Hollywood actress Maria Bello got married.
The Dior boutique opened at Highland Park Village in December 2024 with a splash. It's a two-level space featuring women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, small leather goods, accessories, shoes, fine jewelry, timepieces, Dior Maison, and fragrances from La Collection Privée Christian Dior — in a space described as a must-visit for those seeking unparalleled luxury and style.
The cafe will be part of Crenn Dining Group, and while menu details are not yet being divulged, the experience will be fine-dining, refined, and high-end, blending sophisticated dining with an atmosphere inspired by the timeless elegance of Dior. The menu will reflect the chef's inventive approach to cuisine, seamlessly combining French influences with a modern twist.
Crenn takes a storytelling approach to food, saying that "food is global culture. Food is about humanity. Food is about bringing people together. I hope that every chef in the world will use food as a way of embracing diversity and embracing humanity."
Crenn is currently expanding her portfolio of restaurants with other new locations opening domestically in 2025.
