Here's more chicken, coming in for a landing: Daddy’s Chicken Shack, a fried chicken sandwich chain from Colorado, is set to make its Dallas-Fort Worth debut with a location opening in Colleyville, in a former Zoe's Kitchen at 4717 Colleyville Blvd. #100.
According to a release, it'll open on March 19.
The restaurant is locally owned and operated by Dale and Ashley Dahlstrom who say they are eager to open in the Colleyville community.
"Daddy’s Chicken Shack provides a chef-inspired menu with elevated flavor profiles where everyone can find something they love, whether you’re looking for a delicious breakfast, a quick afternoon bite or a family dinner," Ashley says in a statement.
Their fried chicken is brined then pressure-cooked, which is believed to make the chicken more tender. All of the sandwiches have "Daddy" in the name, as follows:
- Simple Daddy: Sandwich on a bun with pickles
- Big Daddy: with slaw
- Nashville Daddy: slaw, remoulade sauce, and 5 heat levels
- Spicy Daddy: slaw, sambal, ginger mayo, and a "secret" spice blend
- All-American Daddy: slaw, bacon, ranch dressing
You can also get the chicken grilled.
In addition to chicken sandwiches, there's a chicken slider flight, chicken & waffles, popcorn chicken, salad, seasoned fries, and Nashville chicken fingers.
They're open for breakfast all day with a burrito, a bacon-and-egg breakfast sandwich, and a sandwich consisting of chicken between two waffles, in case you want to start pounding that chicken first thing in the morning.
Daddy’s Chicken Shack is owned by Area 15 Ventures, LLC and overseen by REMAX co-founder Dave Liniger, who is president of the company. The release says they've grown from a single location to more than 100 units in development, although the number of actual restaurants open is … five, including a location in Houston that opened in 2023. But many in development! Including a possible location in Fort Worth, exact address still TBD.
“We’re thrilled with the high-level momentum being driven at Daddy’s Chicken Shack just a few months into 2024,” Liniger says. “It’s great to see more restaurants opening, and knowing how much excitement our Houston Heights location garnered, we’re confident that Colleyville will be another welcomed addition to Texas.”
