Movement Live by Michelob Ultra at American Airlines Center
Combine beer with a boxing-based workout during this complimentary group fitness class and dance party hosted by Michelob Ultra. Participants will take place in a 45-minute shadow boxing and strength workout followed by a party with DJ dance music and Michelob Ultra. The multi-city workout tour – which has already made stops in Charlotte, Atlanta, and Chicago – is in partnership with Rumble Boxing and Live Nation. Doors open at 6 pm and the workout starts at 6:30 pm.
Thursday, August 3
National IPA Day at Four Corners Brewing Co.
It’s National IPA Day and the independent Dallas brewery will celebrate with beer specials on the super cheap. All IPAs will be $5 a pint from 3-11 pm both Thursday and Friday. The lineup includes Hace Frío cold IPA (7.3% ABV), El Chingón American IPA (7.3% ABV), La Chingona double IPA (9% ABV), Chingo Haze New England IPA (6.7% ABV), and Imperial Hazy double New England IPA (8% ABV). All to-go cans of IPA will also be 20 percent off. Don’t miss Four Corners’ lively game of Loteria (aka Mexican bingo) on Thursday, too.
Meat and Greet at The Douglas
The Snider Plaza steakhouse will host a four-course whiskey pairing dinner featuring Michter’s Distillery. Guests will indulge in seared scallops, miso corn soup with bacon bourbon jam, espresso-rubbed Wagyu strip loin, and peach cobbler with whiskey caramel sauce. All courses will be paired with straight whiskey pours. Dinner is $175, plus tax and gratuity, and starts at 7 pm with an Old Fashioned cocktail.

South Polk Pizzeria Grand Opening
South Polk Pizzeria in Dallas' Oak Cliff, where chef Terrill Burnett is slinging perfect pies in a pizza desert, will host a grand opening event on Friday afternoon from 3-6 pm, with free gourmet sno cones from A Touch of Sno and ribbon cutting at 5 pm.
Jamaican Independence Day Celebration at The Island Spot
Relish in Jamaican culture and cuisine during this celebration at Carrolton’s authentic Jamaican restaurant, The Island Spot. There’ll be a live reggae band from 7-10 pm and $6 rum punch to wash down dishes like fried plantains, jerk wings, curry goat, brown stew chicken, and braised oxtails. Friday also means it’s hookah night.

Watermelon Day at Dallas Farmers Market
The fifth annual event will feature everything watermelon, including complimentary slices, a watermelon eating contest, and even photos with the 2023 Watermelon Queen. Enjoy chef demos, live music, face painting, a petting zoo, kids crafts, and more than 100 farmers market vendors. The event will run from 9 am-5 pm.

Yogarita at The Stoneleigh
Start your Sunday with a refreshing poolside yoga class and cocktail at one of Dallas’ most storied hotels. The $40 ticket (plus tax and a small fee) includes a one-hour yoga class followed by a Yogarita cocktail (made with Casamigos Tequila) and a coastal-inspired fish taco from the hotel restaurant, Perle on Maple. Wine Night at Oddfellows
The Bishop Arts eatery is launching a Wine Night program every Monday starting August 7. The program debuts with three "perfect pairings" of rose and orange wines that complement specific hors d'oeuvres-style bites that pair well with the selected wines. A shared evening of wine flights and snacks for two is $45.
