Dallas College tops the 6 best food & drink events in Dallas this week

JOA Grill will host a Korean cocktail pairing dinner this week.
Luka Doncic returns to Dallas this week, and one local sports bar is marking the event with specials and giveaways to celebrate. There's also a chef-studded foodie festival from Dallas College, and a Korean barbecue spot will host a pairing dinner starring a Korean liquor called soju. And don't miss a fun vegan brunch and bingo in Oak Cliff.

77 for 77 at ChopSports
Victory Park sports bar will host foodie specials and a fundraiser to coincide with Luka Doncic’s highly anticipated return to Dallas as the LA Lakers take on the Mavericks. There’ll be seven food and drink specials priced at $7.77, along with giveaways (Luka merch, tickets, and gift cards) every hour until tip-off at 6:30 pm. The day will kick off at noon with triathlete Brian Goldsmith departing ChopSports to run 77 laps around American Airlines Center (28 miles) wearing a Luka jersey. Additionally, 77 percent of proceeds from the day will benefit the Luka Doncic Foundation.
Cochon De Lait No. VI with Still Austin Whiskey Co. at Restaurant Beatrice
Conchon de lait is a Louisiana style of whole-roasting a pig, and that’s what Restaurant Beatrice will do during this family-style dinner. First bites include muffuletta deviled eggs, sweet tea brined country fried ribs, and pork belly burnt ends brochette. Entrees include the Cajun-roasted pig along with ham hock braised greens, jalapeno cornbread, cole slaw, and smoked potato salad. Tickets are $100 plus tax and gratuity, and also include three cocktails and a dessert. Seatings start at 5 pm.

Dallas Art Fair Dinner Service at Mirador
During the Dallas Art Fair taking place Thursday, April 10-Saturday, April 12 at the Fashion Industry Gallery, Mirador will open its doors for a limited-edition dinner service. Standout menu items include ahi tuna cornettes, deviled eggs with caviar, lobster Cobb salad, and chicken paillard. Seatings are from 6–9:30 pm nightly.

Seoul & Soju Night at JOA Grill
Upscale Korean barbecue restaurant will host a six-course communal tasting experience featuring a different soju (Korean liquor) cocktail paired with each course. Menu highlights include oysters, yuzu citrus salad, and a “Taste of JOA” with meats including prime short rib, black New York strip, chuck flap, and marinated ribeye. Reservations are $85 and the tasting begins at 7:30 pm.

“Love You a Brunch” Bingo & Brunch at Swirled Peace
Play a lively game of bingo while indulging in vegan dishes, including a grazing table with fruits and pastries, artisan waffles, chilaquiles scramble, breakfast potatoes, and more. The brunch will take place at Swirled Peace plant-based ice cream shop from 11:30 am-2:30 pm. Tickets are $55 and include a bingo card. Additional cards are $5.

Bits & Bites 2025
Dallas College’s annual food and wine festival returns to the Dallas Arboretum featuring pastry and hospitality students alongside 38 of Dallas’ top chefs. Participants include Aaron Collins (Café Momentum), Mario Hernandez (Nuri Steakhouse), Mike Matis (Fearing’s Restaurant), Steffen Perico (Uchiko), Nikky Phinyawatana (Asian Mint), Jeramie Robison (Catbird at the Thompson Hotel), and more. Tickets start at $95 and the event will run from 6–8 pm.
