Taste of Jalisco Tequila Pairing Dinner at Mexican Sugar
All three Dallas-area Mexican Sugar locations will keep the tequila flowing this week with tequila pairing dinners. A tequila expert from Casa San Matias will talk patrons through pairings, from blanco tequila to extra anejo. Highlights from the four-course menu include duck barbacoa and shrimp ceviche. The dinner will be held on Tuesday at Mexican Sugar in Plano, Wednesday in Las Colinas, and Thursday in Uptown. All dinners are $110, plus tax and gratuity, and begin at 7 pm.

Maestro Dobel Tequila Dinner at Te Deseo
The Harwood District Latin restaurant will host a multicourse tequila and dinner pairing, which will end with salsa dancing and complimentary cigar rolling on the rooftop. Menu highlights include octopus tacos with grilled pineapple and tri-tip steak. Maestro Tequila will be featured for pairings. Tickets are $75 and the event begins at 6 pm with a cocktail reception.

Bishop Arts Wine Walk
At least two dozen shops will participate in this Bishop Arts District sip-and-stroll event, so get your walking shoes ready. The $25 ticket includes a wine glass and wine pours at each stop, along with exclusive promotions at participating locations. Check in at Mosiac Makers to pick up your glass and map starting at 6 pm.
Tequila Aging 101 at Tango Room
The Design District dining destination has launched the Explorer Series, a 60-minute guided wine and spirits tasting held every Thursday at the communal chef’s table. This week features tequila, and guests will get to know the differences between reposado, anejo, and extra anejo. The $115 price (which includes gratuity, but not tax) includes a three-drink flight and chef’s selection of small bites. The tasting begins promptly at 6 pm. Make a reservation for dinner afterward and get 20 percent off your bill.
Tupps Beer Dinner at Scout
The Statler hotel restaurant will host a three-course beer-pairing dinner featuring brews by Tupps. Enjoy beer-can chicken, beer-braised beef shank, and stout chocolate cake. The dinner is $75, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 7 pm.

Ska is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the 1950s as a precursor to reggae. Celebrate a ska revival during this themed party featuring music and food specials, including fish and chips and Pimm’s Cup cocktails. Entry is $10 per person and the party will run from 8 pm-12 am.

Margarita Brawl Dinner at Urban Crust
The wood-fired pizza restaurant in Plano will host a battle for the best margarita. Staff members will compete and patrons get to judge. The $85 price, which includes tax and gratuity, comes with four courses paired with four margaritas. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm.
