Statler Dallas sibling will bring first lifestyle hotel to Addison

Room with poolside view at Hotel Dax in Addison
There's an opening date on a new hotel coming to Addison from a well-known Dallas developer: Called Hotel Dax, it's from Centurion American Development Group, owner of the Statler hotel in downtown Dallas, and it'll open at 14315 Midway Rd. at the northwest corner of Spring Valley Road on April 10.
According to a release, Hotel Dax will serve as a destination for travelers, meeting planners, and a social hub for locals. The property was previously the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which was built in 1984 but closed during the pandemic.
The hotel’s 426 guest rooms and suites have received refreshed, upscale finishes, and in 2027, they'll execute a second round of renovations that re-envision the rooms entirely.
Hotel Dax represents a departure from traditional business hotels in the area, as the first lifestyle hotel north of I-635 in the North Dallas area.
Food and fanfare
The hotel will be home to four food & beverage venues, all of which will celebrate opening day on April 10 with various degrees of fanfare.
- Bar Dax, the hotel’s social hub, will offer happy-hour pricing all day, and Hunter Sullivan will perform from 5:30-9 pm.
- Brewed, a specialty coffee and grab-and-go market operated by the local brand of the same name, will give 20 percent off.
- Top Brass, the hotel’s signature American bistro, will be open for breakfast and lunch. (Dinner that evening is by reservation only.)
- Waterloom, the hotel's resort-style pool lounge, will broadcast sports on TVs all day.
The hotel will offer a regular program of events and experiences designed for both hotel guests and locals, reinforcing its role as a community gathering place. A courtesy shuttle will provide access to the new DART Silver Line, providing convenient transportation to DFW International Airport.
Local memberships
For locals who would like to enjoy the hotel’s amenities without booking a stay, Hotel Dax will offer Dax Social memberships. For $99 a month, Dax Social will allow members use of the brand-new 3,000-square-foot Matrix gym; the resort-style pool that offers cabanas, loungers, and bites and drinks from Waterloom, the poolside restaurant; and a percentage off of food and beverage at the hotel’s four dine-and-drink venues as well as hotel stays.
“Celebrating the opening of Hotel Dax has been a long time coming, and we’re ready to let both hotel guests and local visitors experience all it has to offer,” said Mehrdad Moayedi, CEO of Centurion American.
