Fancy Dallas oyster spot Hudson House to open in former Corner Bakery

An East Coast-inspired concept is about to open at a high-profile Dallas intersection: Hudson House, a concept from Vandelay Hospitality Group, will open in Preston Forest Village, in the former Corner Bakery Cafe space at 11700 Preston Rd #880.
According to a release, it'll open on April 22, the the eighth Hudson House location and sixth in DFW.
The concept debuted in Highland Park in 2017 and has become a neighborhood favorite for lunch, dinner and happy hour, with signatures that include oysters, a raw bar, and martinis, with decor that summons a New England dining institution including leather booths, a large wraparound bar, an outdoor patio, and a sit-down raw bar.
Popular dishes include:
- Avocado Dip with whipped avocado, green onion, herbs and ranch chips
- Cheeseburger with thin patties, American cheese, pickles, and Hudson sauce
- Chicken Parm with tomato pasta and reggiano
- American Tuna Tower with avocado, cucumber, greens. and wasabi vinaigrette
Raw Bar offerings include a seafood tower, shrimp cocktail with chipotle remoulade, crab claws, and tuna tartare.
Martinis come in options such as The Classic; Bleu & Gold - vodka, olive juice, bleu cheese salt, and housemade bleu cheese olives; Lemon Drop - lemon vodka, fresh lemon juice, Limoncello foam; and The Espresso - vodka, espresso, Kahlua and Bailey’s.
There is also a Frozen Bellini, a Strawberry Spritz, a Spicy Mexican, and a Manhattan.
They'll be open lunch and dinner daily.
Other Vandelay Hospitality Group establishments include Drake’s Hollywood, D.L. Mack’s, Brentwood, East Hampton, Slider & Blues and Anchor Sushi Bar.
Vandelay founder Hunter Pond says in a statement that "we’re looking forward to bringing another concept to Preston Hollow in addition to D.L. Mack’s which we opened last fall."
