Hospitality whiz to open Kanvas Sport + Social in Dallas' Deep Ellum

Restaurateur and entrepreneur Kevin Kelley has a new restaurant and bar set to open in Deep Ellum: Called Kanvas Sport + Social, it'll be an elevated sports bar, opening at 2823 Main St., in the former Harlowe MXM space.
Kelley is the owner of the Kitchen + Kocktails By Kevin Kelley, a hugely successful restaurant and nightspot which he opened in downtown Dallas in 2020.
According to a release, Kanvas will be a two-level space with more than 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining space, 44 viewing screens, and a connected upper-level lounge.
Kelley's goal is to create something that's more than your average sports bar, blending the excitement of live sports with fantastic foods and creative cocktails.
Beverages include:
- Golden, a tequila-based cocktail enhanced with 24 karat gold and gold flakes
- Swizzle, a Dallas variation of the Caribbean inspired, rum-based Queen Park Swizzle
- Popsicle, a champagne-based drink dressed in a popsicle
- Cava, a white cava sangria with seasonal fruits
The food menu promises to be similarly spectacular including oysters, flamed nachos presented table-side, wings, truffle fries with cheese, a cheeseburger, and a lamb burger.
A Donut Delight sandwich will consist of two doughnuts serving as the bread, filled with options such as egg and a protein of choice.
Lighter bites will include feta watermelon salad, kale Caesar, and vegan options such as vegan pizza, vegan eggrolls, glazed Brussel sprouts, and a Vegan philly.
Kelley owns and operates Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley in Dallas, Chicago, and D.C., with Charlotte set to open by the close of 2024. He also owns of the Latin inspired nightclub, VIVO, in downtown Dallas.
He owns the downtown Dallas property, the historic former Hart Furniture building which he bought in 2018. He occupies the entire three-story structure, part of which was originally built in the 1880s, with his law office on the second floor, and his hospitality group, called Kevin Kelley Concepts, on the third floor.
