New French bistro at The Star in Frisco touts Tiffany blues and greenery wall

La Parisienne at the Star in Frisco features accents of Tiffany blue.
There's a new restaurant from local operators coming to The Star in Frisco: Called La Parisienne Bistro & Bar, it's a French restaurant that'll be open for lunch, dinner, and brunch, at 6740 Winning Way #1000, in a space previously occupied by Howard Wang's, which closed in March 2022.
According to a release, it'll open on Monday March 13.
La Parisienne is from Mondi Tag, an attorney who most recently opened Spatch Kitchen & Cocktails in Addison, and Fiatto in the West Village.
She's been a restaurant owner/operator for more than 20 years: Born and raised in Texas, she was the first female franchisee for Dickey’s BBQ in Dallas, at the age of 19, along with her mother. They also owned a Genghis Grill.
In a statement, Tag says La Parisienne is inspired by Paris.
"We want our guests to feel as if they are sitting in a chic cafe in Paris enjoying French food and desserts along with sipping on a cocktail, tea, or coffee," she says. "All of our desserts are made from scratch with our standout being the Napoleon pastry along with our hazelnut praline and eclairs in a variety of flavors."

Executive Chef is Ozzy Samano, an El Centro College Culinary Studies graduate who has worked at Nick & Sam's Steakhouse, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Hudson House, Drake's Hollywood, Lucky's Hot Chicken, and Dahlia Bar & Bistro.
The restaurant comprises 4,325 square feet with seating for 200. Design is by Dubai-based Mayavian Creative Studios, and includes Tiffany Blue accents, water features, 3D murals, chandeliers, and lush greenery and florals. Tag envisions it as a place for baby showers, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, date night, girls night, tea parties, or late-night dessert and coffee.
