    Where to eat: Best Dallas restaurants for Mother’s Day brunch in 2024

    One of the biggest brunch events of the year is Mother’s Day. It's a delicious and festive way to spoil mom and it’s never too early to start planning.

    Restaurants around Dallas are definitely on it: They're already sharing intel on meals for the special day, which in 2024, falls on May 12. It's not just brunch: They're also offering Mother's Day meals right into dinner, and reservations are ready to roll.

    Here are the Dallas restaurants serving Mother's Day meals, and this list will continue to be updated as the holiday nears:

    Al Biernat’s. Upscale steakhouse and seafood spot will be open for brunch with Brioche French toast, chicken & waffles, and carne asada; and dinner with pear salad, Chilean sea bass, and beef tenderloin.     Asador. Renaissance Dallas Hotel restaurant is serving a spring-inspired buffet, featuring stations for salads, charcuterie, seafood, waffles, and omelets, plus a carving station. 10 am-4 pm. $75, and $25 for 12 and under. 214-267-4815.

    Barrel & Bones. Smokehouse will serve a la carte brunch items, such as pork pibil hash, brisket montecristo, and berries & cream French toast. Mothers will receive a complimentary mimosa.     Blue Mesa Grill. Brunch features carving station with beef tenderloin with chimichurri, red chile salmon with pineapple relish, chicken breast stuffed with spinach & mushrooms, ginger-chipotle-glazed ham, omelets, huevos rancheros; waffles fried chicken or berries & cream, build-your-own street taco station, and favorites such as blue corn cheese enchiladas, sweet corn cake, southwest mac ‘n cheese, and Chimayo corn. $40, or $12 for 12 and under.     Cafe Nubia. Upscale Mediterranean and African fusion spot will have a champagne brunch buffet, featuring bottomless mimosas, chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, omelets, pancakes, jollof rice, plantains, and suya plates. $40, and $20 for children ages 3-12. 10 am-3 pm. 972-849-7166.

    Cantina Laredo. Mexican chain’s Frisco and Addison locations are serving their regular brunch menu and offering a free mimosa or bloody Mary (with the purchase of an entree) for mothers. 11 am-3 pm. Addison 972-458-0962, Frisco 214-618-9860.

    The Capital Grille. Upscale steakhouse chain will have a la carte specials such as New York strip and eggs, lobster frittata, crab cake benedict, and filet mignon. 10 am-2 pm. Dallas 214-303-0500, Plano 972-398-2221, Fort Worth 817-348-9200.

    Carrabba's Italian Grill. Italian chain will serve a la carte items such as The Johnny Trio, 7oz Tuscan-grilled sirloin marsala, Chicken Bryan & mezzaluna; Chicken Trio of Chicken Bryan, Pollo Rosa Maria, and chicken marsala; and Italian Classics Trio of chicken parmesan, lasagna, and fettuccine alfredo. They’ll also offer their new Carrabbellini, their take on an Italian Bellini, with Absolut Citron vodka, raspberry and blood orange, topped with Riondo Prosecco. April 29-May 12.

    Celebration. Home cooking restaurant has full menu, plus three 3-course dinner specials: blackened salmon with mango & avocado relish, $24; beef short ribs, $24; or chicken florentine for $18.     Central Market. Grocery chain is offering takeout brunch with migas breakfast casserole, chicken poblano enchiladas, Mexican-style rice, salad, juice, $55 serves 3-4; a “Breakfast in Bed” option that includes migascasseroles, pimento cheese, naan dippers, fruit dip, $26 serves 1-2. Ordering starts May 1 for pickup and delivery May 10-12.

    Coupes. French restaurant is serving its new brunch menu, with brioche French toast with lemon curd, crepes with sweet Fromage blanc, raspberries, chocolate sauce, and vanilla chantilly; and a Croque Madame with brioche, rosemary ham, gruyere, bechamel, and sunny side egg.     Dakota’s Steakhouse. NOLA-style steakhouse will have a three-course menu with entrees such as lobster and egg white quiche, jumbo crab cake benedict, French toast, steak and eggs, peach BBQ bone-in pork chop, and roasted Nova Scotia halibut. $75, or half off for 12 and under. 972-573-5003.

Bring mom to Denny's for the new Berry Waffle Slam, a new breakfast entrée with two sweet, Liège-style waffles made with real butter and pearl sugar, topped with berries and caramel sauce.     Gloria’s Latin Cuisine. Salvadoran and Tex-Mex chain will serve all-day a la carte brunch specials such as chicken enchiladas en mole, salmon chimichurri salad, and chicken flautas. 11 am-9 pm.

    Gorji. Upscale Mediterranean spot will have three- and four-course dinner menus, featuring entrees such as beef tenderloin and gnocchi gorgonzola; lamb tenderloin and Texas quail with pomodoro roquefort and pasta; sea bass and butter-seared prawns with chablis, sour orange, barberries, and capers over beet puree; bone-in pork chop with Louisiana crawfish tails, vodka sauce, and gnocchi; and three-cheese spinach lasagna and goat cheese with pomodoro or arrabiata sauce. $119 for three courses and $129 for four courses. 6-8 pm. 972-503-7080.

Korean BBQ restaurant will offer a four-course Mother’s Day menu in addition to their regular menu featuring dumplings, Caesar or yuzu salad, beef stew with noodles, ribeye, NY strip, marinated short rib, grilled vegetables, white rice, banchan, and cheesecake. $50.     La Madeleine. French cafe chain is bringing back chocolate covered strawberries and launching a new macaron sleeve, available as a box of six flavors including raspberry, pistachio, chocolate, lemon, blackberry and vanilla for $12. May 1-12.

    La Parisienne French Bistro. Frisco bistro is offering a four-course Mother’s Day menu with French onion soup, lobster bisque, salad, poulet frites, saumon aux amandes, spicy rigatoni, boeuf bourguignon, steak frites, napoleon, and rocher praline. $75. May 6-12. 469-200-5411.

    Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh.     Dallas restaurants are almost always open and ready to serve, with one exception: Christmas Day, a day that sees most close. But the restaurants on this list are the exception: Dallas restaurants that are open on Christmas Day — a true blessing for diners seeking a festive meal.
