Yee-Haw News
Dallas' Deep Ellum now has 2 clubs with new mechanical bulls

Yee-haw the mechanical bull has landed at Punch Bowl Social.
The Dallas neighborhood of Deep Ellum continues its slippery slide into Extremely Buzzy Entertainment Zone with a new amenity: A mechanical bull is about to make its debut at Punch Bowl Social, the high-volume bar, gastro-diner, entertainment, and private party venue featuring bowling lanes, ping pong, and other games.
The mechanical bull is a brand-new addition for the club, and is already installed in a space that was once home to a ping pong table. The club used to have two ping pong tables, but now there is only one. RIP backup ping pong table.
According to a spokesperson, this represents the first mechanical bull for any of the 15 locations of the Denver-based Punch Bowl Social chain, which one supposes makes us special.
This newcomer is not only a new feature for Punch Bowl, but it also makes Deep Ellum officially home to not one but two mechanical bulls: As previously reported, a new bar called Rodeo Dallas, a spinoff of a concept founded in Arizona, just opened rather quietly at 2724 Elm St. (in the former Wits End, an old-school hangout that closed in 2022) and it, too, has a mechanical bull.
They join the mechanical bull at Gilley's, a mere 1.5 miles away, and the mechanical bull at Cowboys Red River in northwest Dallas, and that's not even getting into Fort Worth.
Punch Bowl Social Dallas will debut its bull with considerably more fanfare: two grand opening parties in July. Reservations are recommended for the following dates with links to the Event site:
Each ride will be $10, and they suggest you "get ready for a rip-roaring good time that will have cowboys and cowgirls hootin’ and hollerin’ all night long." That's straight from their press release.
Tito's Vodka will be onsite with drinks and prizes for riders that can hang on for 10 seconds or more.
