Flower Mounders and visitors to Flower Mound will soon be gifted with an array, a wealth, a panoply of new restaurants, coming soon to Flower Mound's entertainment district.

According to a release, River Walk Social, the new name for the district formerly known as River Walk, will welcome five new restaurants in the coming months that will cover the key food groups of pizza, coffee, and English pub.

The list:

Underdogs Burgers & Brew: Sports bar will be uber-family-oriented with an indoor and outdoor kids play area. The menu will be dominated by burgers using Texas Wagyu Beef from HeartBrand Beef, plus sandwiches, wings, salads, and an extensive kids menu. It's all about the kids.

Pennywise: Traditional English pub will serve limited menu with bangers & mash, steak & ale pie, fish & chips, and a Monte Cristo sandwich. The bar will offer European beer, including beer flights, plus cocktails, with traditional pub décor.

Pie Hole Pizza: Brick-oven pizza shop will serve 14-inch pies, with house-made dough, plus sandwiches, salads, beer, and wine. They'll focus on pick-up and delivery, with a small area for dine-in.

Sugar Fix: Coffee/gelato/mini-doughnut bar will offer cold brew, hot drip coffee, espresso, espresso-based drinks, and iced coffee, plus 18 flavors of gelato.

Whiskey and Smoke: Smokehouse and bourbon bar will feature brisket, St. Louis-style ribs, pulled pork, chicken, smoked sausage, and will house-cure and smoke their own pastrami and bacon. The bar will serve high-end cocktails, including some that are smoked, plus bourbon flights. There'll be table service, but also a pickup window for family-style to-go packs.

According to a release, Greg Retz, CEO of RW F&B (the company overseeing the restaurant operation), is working to ensure a seamless dining experience at River Walk, now River Walk Social. Scout and Primo’s MX Kitchen & Lounge will remain open until they're replaced by these new concepts.

"We feel these new restaurant concepts will really resonate with residents of Flower Mound and the surrounding areas," Retz says. "As we redefine River Walk Social, we are focused on creating the most exciting dining destination in the region and plan to become an integrated fixture in the community."

During the transition, River Walk Social will keep carrying on, with a free Christmas event and fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
