All the best Dallas restaurants to celebrate Valentine's Day 2023

Sweets are almost never out of style on Valentine's Day.
Love isn't quite in the air yet but that day is coming. That day being Valentine's Day, the red-satin chocolate-coated holiday ostensibly for lovers, and restaurants are at the ready with heart-shaped pizzas, strawberry cupcakes, and complimentary glasses of champagne.
Valentine's Day is complicated in 2023. It falls on a Tuesday, putting restaurants and diners alike in an awkward position. Do you celebrate Valentine's the weekend before, even though it's not technically Valentine's Day? Or do you wait for Tuesday and do it up big on the day of? Some restaurants are extending it all the way through. But where does that leave Monday, a day that many restaurants traditionally close?
Fortunately this list has a little bit of everything, so you can pick and choose. The specials are available on February 14 unless otherwise noted. Here's where to celebrate Valentine's Day in Dallas:
Another Round. Indoor mini golf and bar venue in West Dallas is offering a special Valentine’s Day package inspired by the viral pick a card challenge on TikTok. Players get Chocolate Covered Strawberry cocktail shots or two mocktails. $12 for 9 holes, $22 for 18 holes, plus $7 extra for Valentine offering. January 23-February 14.

Asador. Restaurant at Renaissance Hotel will host special Valentine’s Day menu with choices from Champagne toast, beet rolls, 44 Farms tenderloin nigiri, beet & goat cheese ravioli, acorn squash salad, baby iceberg, strawberry grouper with coconut quinoa & purple kale, 44 Farms tenderloin with garlic potato puree, pickled cauliflower, & onion croquette, Lee-Lynns Farm chicken confit with mushrooms & sweet potato puree, butternut squash risotto, and baked Alaska. 5-10 pm. 214-267-4815.

Bulla Gastrobar. Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Four-course dinner for two includes choices from calamari, shrimp scampi, tomato Caprese with burrata, Caesar, Italian salad, Sicilian chicken soup, Lasagne, fettucine Carrabba, salmon, chicken Bryan, chicken Marsala, chicken Parmesan, Tuscan sirloin, Tuscan filet, chocolate dream, cannoli cake, or Tiramisù. City Hall Bistro. Restaurant at The Adolphus will offer a 3-course Valentine’s Day menu with glass of champagne. $85. 214-651-3686.

Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse. 3-course special menu includes choices from Wellfleet oysters, beef short ribs with goat cheese raviolo & cacio e pepe, filet mignon & Maine lobster with purple potatoes & asparagus, sea bass with beet risotto, and dessert sampler with strawberry opera cake, blackberry-amaretto gelato, ruby chocolate ganache, and raspberry coulis. $95. 5-10 pm. 469-772-4810.

The Dolly Llama. Valentine’s waffle with strawberry ice cream, nutella sauce, pink strawberry kit kat bar, and sweetheart toppings with sprinkles, on a Bubble Waffle or in a cup. February 14-15.
Eatzi’s Market & Bakery Special offerings include filet mignon with cabernet butter, crab-stuffed lobster tail, espresso and cocoa-rubbed wagyu sirloin with black raspberry port demi-glace, rainbow carrot and vegetable medley, cupcakes, heart-shaped cookies and brownies, chocolate espresso pots de crème, crème brulee, and 5-inch Valentine’s Day tower of power with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and cheesecake. 214-526-1515.

Elm Street Cask & Kitchen. Downtown Dallas restaurant will offer special menu items including wild mushroom ravioli, garlic Tuscan salmon, New York strip, and Fairy Tale for Two, a chocolate lava cake with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries. February 11-14. 972-232-1728.
Fearing's Restaurant. 3-course dinner includes options from golden osetra caviar "chips and dip," lobster tail and Hawaiian ahi tuna tiradito, prime beef "Wellington," and flourless chocolate Chambord torte with praline crisp & raspberry rose mousse. $160, plus $80 for wine pairings. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Surf & turf for two pairs 35-ounce tomahawk with lobster tail scampi and crab-stuffed shrimp scampi, plus salad and cheesecake or chocolate gooey butter cake. $230. Gloria's Latin Cuisine. 3-course dinner for two starts with Aguachile, then choose serrano garlic salmon or surf & turf, and finish with a Chocolate Turtle Brownie. Joule Dallas Hotel. On Sunday, February 12, The Taschen Library hosts a Galentine’s-themed tea service, with salmon crudo, crab lettuce cups, pastries, and desserts such as lemon poppyseed scone, fine teas, and lots of bubbles. 11 am. $125.
Kura Sushi USA. Limited-edition Valentine's Chirashi bowl includes sushi rice, shrimp, crab, crab claw, salmon, tuna, eel, red snapper, scallop, tamago, ikura, and cucumber, served with heart-shaped ramekin for soy sauce dipping. $25. February 10-14. At Carrollton, Frisco, and Plano locations.
LAW. Restaurant at Las Colinas resort has a 4-course dinner with choices from oysters, roasted marrow, prime filet with confit duck fat potatoes, cauliflower with lemon tahini, halibut with kaluga caviar beurre blanc, and baked Alaska. $165, plus additional $75 for wine pairings. The Londoner Pub. Pre-Valentine's Day weekend specials include Shrimp & Grits, Queen's Cup cocktail, and strawberry shortcake, February 10-12 from 5-11 pm. Valentine's Day specials include appetizer and dinner special and half-price bottles of wine.
