Wow! Check out this new doughnut and coffee shop opening in Plano

Wow! Donuts & Drips is expanding.
An ambitious and artisanal doughnut and coffee shop is expanding: Wow! Donuts & Drips is opening a store in Plano at 501 Talbert Dr., in a former Dunn Brothers Coffee space, where it will hold its grand opening on March 23.
The shop will serves artisan hand-crafted doughnuts, displayed, and presented in an elevated way to bring a new light upon a traditional American classic.
Wow! Donuts & Drips was founded in 2017 with a first location in Dallas at 5601 W. Lovers Ln. by husband-and-wife team Dung and Sang Sim, along with son David and daughter Jenny, who all pitched in to develop the concept.
They see Wow! as more than an average doughnut shop, making small from-scratch batches daily, viewing their doughnuts as edible pieces of art, whether it's classics like glazed, chocolate, and sprinkles or new flavors like Salted Caramel Coffee Cream, Creme Brûlée, and Tiramisu.
Additional food offerings include mochi doughnuts, Ooh La La croissant doughnuts, pastries, and honey butter little pig in the blankets.
On the "Drips" side, there are specialty coffees, lattes, and an assortment of teas. The shop partners with local roasters and master blenders to provide an elevated coffee experience. The Plano location will be offering an exclusive menu for coffee connoiseurs of extremely rare coffees that can range from $20 to $35 dollars a serving.
There's also a kid’s menu with mini- donuts and non-caffeinated drinks such as hot chocolate and lemonade.
In a statement, David Sim says they have special ties to Plano.
“Having lived in Plano for over 25 years, we are excited about expanding to the area and look forward to being a main contributor to our local community,” Sim says.
There are also plans for a store Richardson later in 2024.
Hours for the Plano grand opening will be Saturday March 23 from 12-2 pm, and Sunday March 24 from 2-4 pm, with live music, interactive activities for kids, doughnut decorating sessions, selfie stations, and raffles for prizes.
