Rock Studs or Nothing
Chic Dallasites strut out for Valentino boutique grand opening
What: Valentino Grand Opening
Where: Highland Park Village
The 411: Valentino brand ambassador Carlos Souza, along with co-hosts Nasiba Adilova, Tina Craig, and Nancy Rogers, invited Dallas's most glamorous guests to celebrate the grand opening of the luxury brand's latest boutique. DJ Lucy Wrubel played high-fashion hits while attendees noshed on hors d'oeuvres and sipped champagne all the while checking out the latest collections in the new store.
And with a portion of sales benefiting Dallas Contemporary, it really was hard not to walk out with a gorgeous bag or a ravishing pair of rock studs. A portion of the proceeds from sales at the store through February 27 will also benefit the art museum. Post party, Souza hosted a private dinner for VIPs at Le Bilboquet.
Valentino's 1,925-square-foot boutique exudes a kind of Italian palazzo atmosphere, with its use of opulent materials — gray Venetian terrazzo, oak, Carrara marble, glass, thick leather, and soft carpets. The new Dallas store steers away from a pure showroom and promotes a new retail architectural format, as developed by Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli with renowned British architect David Chipperfield.
The new boutique carries Valentino ready to wear, accessories, fragrances, and eyewear.
