Pretty young professionals strut to success at first Dallas fundraiser
The Dallas Design District was hopping with well-dressed young professionals recently, when Young Texans Against Cancer (YTAC) and Front Door Fashion partnered up for STRUT, a seriously stylish fashion show and fundraiser.
Event chairs Paige Janke and Julia Tran — along with help from committee members Margaret Brown, Taylor Cantrell, Rachel Davis, Baxter Finkbohner, Claire Galpern, Sam Khoury, Leah McCann, Veronica Phillips, and Natalie Solis — gathered together some of Dallas' fashion elite to present a look at what everyone will want to be wearing this season. Emcees Solis and Steve Kemble kept the crowd entertained.
An exclusive collection of Nicole Miller clothing was on display for guests to ogle, along with a silent auction spread that inspired heated bidding wars. In fact, $16,000 was raised from prizes such as Kendra Scott baubles, Benefit makeup, pampering girls' nights, sports memorabilia, and exclusive Texas liquor packages.
Stoli cocktails, including a killer Cosmopolitan, made sure spirits remained high. Urban Taco set out an impressive build-your-own taco buffet, while Sissy's Southern Kitchen offered an array of creative deviled eggs.
YTAC Dallas, a group of charitable young professionals who have been touched by cancer in some way, raise awareness and funds for the fight against the disease.
