White Hot Party
Dallas young professionals party with purpose at summer’s hottest fundraiser
What: Young Friends of Wilkinson Center White Party 2016
Where: Sixty Five Hundred
The 411: The White Party is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Young Friends of Wilkinson Center — and one of the most hotly anticipated charitable events among the city’s up-and-coming philanthropists. For the fifth annual soiree, more than 900 celebrants, dressed in white, assembled at Sixty Five Hundred, which had been transformed into a Miami Beach-inspired oasis by Gro Designs and Code Blue Sound and Entertainment. Samba dancers pranced around the venue, playing bongo drums and tambourines while confetti cannons and cryo machines went off. DJ Souljah, suspended above the dance floor, provided the evening’s soundtrack.
Young Friends of Wilkinson Center put on the White Party to raise crucial funds for programs that offer hope, inspiration, and tools to more than 14,000 Dallas residents in poverty.
