What: Preview dinner and reception for "The Viscous Valley"
Where: Zhulong Gallery
The 411: VIP guests were treated to a new art experience at the sneak peek of "The Viscous Valley," works by Jeremy Couillard. During a dinner whipped up by Chef DAT, attendees were seated at a work of art itself: a 40-foot table created for the Brooklyn Art Museum's Artist Ball. The following day, the gallery welcomed the public to the artist reception, where they chatted with Couillard about his inspiration and process. Couillard's work is characterized by vivid color and a "video game aesthetic." The exhibition features a mix of story-like video works, oversized prints and detailed dioramas with subject matters such as vast landscapes, 3D printed vignettes and light presented in a technological style.
