Brainy Dallas lunch bunch rallies to raise funds for young scientists

The 411: More than 90 members of the Friends of BrainHealth, a donor circle dedicated to advancing research discoveries at UT Dallas’ Center for BrainHealth, gathered to lunch and bestow career-accelerating research grants to a few promising young scientists. Patrons raised more than $302,000 this year and awarded four $25,000 grants to help these scientists lead their own research studies:
- Linda and Joel Robuck Distinguished New Scientist: Lee Ann Young, M.A.
- The Katherine and Bob Penn Distinguished New Scientist: Nyaz Didehbani, Ph.D.
- The Sapphire Foundation Distinguished New Scientist: Lori Cook, Ph.D.
- Live Winner: Bambi DeLaRosa, M.S.
