Fashionable Party Needs
Stylish Dallas scenesters get what they need at exclusive lifestyle site launch party
Newly launched men’s lifestyle site Need recently hosted an exclusive party to declare its stylish presence in Dallas. A small group of friends and supporters gathered at Weld, a creative co-working space in the Design District and Need’s official home.
Joining founder Matt Alexander — who was all smiles that night — were board members Carl Sparks, Andrew Brimecome, Trey Bowles and Kevin Vela, as well as Emily Maeyama, Kevin Lavelle, Bryan DeLuca, Ted Hoffman, Hallie Alford, Nicole Musselman, Kristie Ramirez, Leandre Johns, Brandon Cotter,Nick Clark and Katie Jo Whisenant. Need operating manager Chelsea Vaughn orchestrated the festivities.
The gang sipped on Need Mules (a twist on the Moscow Mule) and old fashioneds shaken by Eddie Campbell and team of soon-to- launch Parliament bar as they perused a handful of goods scattered about the warehouse-like space. (Alexander told us those few pieces were all that was left of the inventory for this month.) Fueled by good cocktails and good conversation, guests also took turns in front of the photo booth.
Need specializes hard-to-find-online, high-quality clothes for men, and the selection changes from month to month. The site also offers long-form, magazine-style lifestyle content and fashion advice.
“The site is for a guy that cares about looking good but is also willing to open up to advice,” Alexander says.
