Motorcycle store The Old Bike Shop was an unexpected venue for the Warby Parker Class Trip party, but it was the perfect spot to host hundreds of chic, socially conscious hipsters for the kickoff for the Warby Parker pop-up shop.
ID's were checked and wrists were stamped as attendees walked through the door. Then guests took their beer and wine on board the school bus-turned-spectacle shop, which was parked in the garage and open for viewing.
The party was accented with lots of sweet touches, like stringed lights and a photo booth for black-and-white snaps. A young band performed as attendees — DeAndre Upshaw, Jackson, Alexander Pappas, Miky Lyon, Jupiter Jones, Courtney King, Jencey Keeton, Chad Houser, Kristen DeRocha, Linda Snorina and Sinan Gurman — ate cheese, meats, preserves and more (courtesy of Bolsa) off eco-friendly, disposable bamboo plates.
When the herd of frames, scarves and skinny jeans got tired of standing, they flocked to the back garage, where community tables were set and two bars were open for second and third rounds.
If our class trips entailed these kinds of parties, we'd more fondly reflect on our school days.
