After six years at D Magazine, where she held editorial posts from online producer to lifestyle and shopping editor, Raya Ramsey Rockwood decamped to Florida to be with her husband. As a freelancer, she now enjoys writing from both her beachside digs and her home state of Texas. When she’s not traveling, she enjoys preparing veggie fare in the kitchen; starting (but not always finishing) creative projects; and cultivating a lovely living space, wardrobe, and collection of apothecary goods.
