If you’re in the market for a show-stopping wedding gown, Stanley Korshak has you covered. The luxurious bridal boutique has recently welcomed the esteemed Nha Khanh as exclusive in-house designer.

Khanh Nguyen, creative director and designer for the Dallas-based company, launched her wedding and evening wear line in 2010 and has since quickly moved up the fashion ladder. Just two years after establishing her ready-to-wear collection and bringing it to Korshak, Nguyen now handles all of the custom bridal and evening attire for women (in addition to maintaining her ready-to-wear line).

“Khanh offers something different,” says Korshak’s Laura Hodgkinson. “We’re constantly looking to be a trendsetter, rather than following the trend.”

Laura Hodgkinson, buyer and director of Korshak’s bridal boutique, says that brides have become more sophisticated and modern in the past 20 years. To keep up with the times, Korshak needed to have someone in-house to create gowns for clients who don’t want the likes of Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier or Naeem Khan.

And because Nguyen was already established in Korshak, Hodgkinson thought the forward-thinking designer would be a perfect fit for the boutique’s collection of stunning tulle- and bead-embellished gowns.

“We brought her in and instantly loved her. Everyone was on board almost immediately,” Hodgkinson says.

Though the design process hasn’t changed since collaborating with Korshak, Nguyen says her resources have increased, making it easier for her to do custom work. “We source our fabrics and lace from all over the world; most of our lace comes from France and Italy. We even design our own embellishments,” Nguyen says.

All meetings and fittings take place at Korshak, but the cutting and sewing is done in the Nha Khanh studio in Addison. Brides can see their dream gowns in the making from start to finish.

The Nha Khanh team works with clients “to bring their visions of the dresses to life,” Nguyen says. “The process of custom designing a bridal gown is much more exciting and personal than just buying a gown off the rack.”

Hodgkinson adds that Nguyen promises the same unique quality and customer care for which Korshak is known. “Khanh offers something different. We don’t do knock-off designs; we’re constantly looking to be a trendsetter, rather than following the trend.”

Nha Khanh bridal gowns start at $3,800. Call 214-871-3611 to schedule an appointment.
