A new luxury salon opened quietly this spring in West Plano Village, and now its celebrity namesake is coming to christen it. José Eber, one of the most famous names in hair styling and coloring, is headed to his new José Eber Salon in September, and — this is not a tease — he'll be available for appointments and consultations with clients.

Beverly Hills-based Eber will be on hand September 18 and 19 at the salon, 3300 Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 106, in Plano. The salon is booking appointments with him now. A 15-minute consultation is $100 and, haircuts are $500.

"We are thrilled that José Eber is making himself personally available at his namesake salon during our grand-opening celebration," says Alban Pessy, the salon's director, in a release.

Eber has actually had a long love affair with Dallas, starting with his salon at Preston Center, then moving north to Plano in the early 2000s. According to his website, the only other José Eber salons outside of DFW are in California and Dubai.

One of the most recognized hairstylists in the world (if not just for his own luscious locks), Beverly Hills-based Eber has been setting styling trends for decades. Known as a "stylist to the stars," his celebrity clientele has included Dallas' Linda Gray, Cher, Elizabeth Taylor, Farrah Fawcett, and Clint Black. He's a regular presence on TV and has a best-selling book and line of haircare products sold on the Home Shopping Network.

The new, 2,300-square-foot José Eber Salon at West Plano Village features state-of-the-art design by Gensler, VEZZOSI Italian equipment, and the latest technology to further enhance the client experience, they say. It houses 10 stylist stations, six color stations, and five shampoo stations. The most notable design feature is a stunning ceiling inspired by the Parisian Arch, a famous design element seen in homes, buildings, and monuments around Paris and a nod to Eber's French roots.

“The new José Eber Salon in Plano brings a sophisticated, minimalist, and French-influenced design to North Texas,” Pessy says.

Before and after appointments, clients can sip drinks from a hospitality bar and snap selfies of their new looks in front of the José Eber step-and-repeat branded wall.

In addition to cuts, color, and blowouts, clients can book custom hair extensions, updos, and straighteners/relaxers. Color treatments include balayage, color correction, and full color changes that suit clients' lifestyle and skin tone changes.

The salon carries luxury hair care products by Kérastase, as well as the José Eber signature line of products and professional tools.

The salon is open 9 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Saturday. To book an appointment any time or a special appointment with Eber, call 469-467-4880.
