The Mother Site
Lifestyle site Elizabeth Street expands to Dallas, serving up stylish advice for savvy moms
Modern moms have little time but always need sound advice. And who better to dispense said advice than other like-minded moms? Enter Elizabeth Street, a lifestyle website created for — and maintained by — cosmopolitan moms around the globe.
Founder Emanuele Della Valle built this user-friendly site after he noticed his wife actively searching for things to do with their kids while traveling. He decided to scope out mothers in cities throughout the world who know what’s hot and want to share that insight with like-minded women. Elizabeth Street is a pretty conglomeration of tips and tidbits from the world’s most sophisticated mothers.
Sophisticated Dallas ambassadors like Kimberly Whitman share their favorites in the areas of culture, food, fitness, philanthropy, shopping and travel.
The week of April 8, Dallas will be among a list of cities that currently includes Los Angeles, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Rome. Dallas is part of an 11-city expansion plan this year.
So instead of spending hours on Pinterest searching for “cake frosting” or “yoga,” savvy Dallas moms can turn to Elizabeth Street for recommendations from Dallas moms Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, Southern Living editor-at-large and KTXD-TV D Living co-host; international style setter Hanh Merriman; Gina Ginsburg, socialite and owner of the Hair Bar; and Paula Minnis, founder of GAIA Empowered Women.
These sophisticates share their Dallas favorites in the areas of arts, culture, food, fitness, philanthropy, shopping and travel, from the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek to Nasher Sculpture Center and Klyde Warren Park. As with the other cities, the site caters to moms who want the best for their children, both at home and when they travel.
Although these Dallas city ambassadors were selected to write for Elizabeth Street, anyone can apply to be a contributor. The only criterion is she must be a mother.
The site is 100 percent curated by the contributing moms, who are connected and committed to their communities. To align with the values of its audience, Elizabeth Street honors each mother’s participation with a donation to a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children.
