Dallas treasure deemed one of America's most iconic hotel bars
Raise a glass to the Library Bar, which was recently named one of the 30 most iconic bars in America by Business Insider.
Holding court in the swanky Warwick Melrose Hotel since 1924, the elegant bar is commended for its live music program — there are local singers six nights a week — and its impressive whiskey selection and wine list.
It joins such other legendary watering holes as Bar Marmont in LA's Chateau Marmont, Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle Cafe in New York City, Sazaerac Bar in New Orleans' Roosevelt Hotel and The Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Though this classy spot, which Business Insider describes as "dripping with Southern charm," might be news to the rest of the country, we called it back in 2013 when we included the Library Bar in our list of the best hotel bars in Dallas.
If you feel like celebrating the bar's latest honor, order up a concoction from the new cocktail menu: A Walk Down Melrose Lane consists of Tito’s Vodka, St. Germain, cranberry juice, lime juice and simple syrup; the Warwick International features Japanese whiskey, fresh ginger, honey syrup, Cointreau and lemon juice. Don't forget about that Macallan 25-year, though.
