Al fresco foodie fundraiser sneak-peeks Hall Arts Hotel in downtown Dallas
What: Taste of Hall benefiting AWARE
Where: The Artisan, Hall Arts Hotel Terrace
The 411: Dallas foodies arrived hungry to the sparkling new downtown hot spot on September 12 for an evening of noshing and sipping at sunset.
They were there to celebrate the Dallas Arts District's culinary community while raising funds for AWARE, a nonprofit that helps local individuals, families, and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease. (September, after all, is Alzheimer's Awareness Month.)
The food festival of sorts introduced Chef Eric Dreyer of the hotel's forthcoming Ellie's Restaurant & Lounge, opening this fall. Guests got to meet Dreyer and sneak-peek his cuisine, as well as that of Chef Scott Townend of Hall Arts Hotel.
Other participating restaurants included Flora Street Café, Miriam Cocina Latina, Musume, Playwright Pub, and The Artisan.
Patrons sipped signature cocktails, enjoyed wine tastings (Hall wines, of course), and mingled into the night.
All proceeds generated from the event will go directly to supporting AWARE initiatives. Since its founding in 1989, AWARE (which stands for Alzheimer’s Women’s Association for Resources and Education) has donated more than $13 million toward its mission of fighting Alzheimer’s disease.
