We'll call it love at second sight. After being introduced by mutual friends once before, Jordan Liberty and Hunter Phillips locked eyes and reconnected one Fourth of July at a Pat Green concert. Turns out that in the time since the two had last met, Hunter had moved to Dallas, where Jordan lived — and the rest, as they say, was history.

Two years later, when Jordan, a Sooners fan, decided to throw a Red River Showdown party on their apartment's rooftop terrace, Hunter, a diehard Longhorn, knew his moment had arrived. With all of their friends there, he got down on one knee.

"Everyone cheered, and we celebrated our OU/TX engagement all day long," Jordan says. "I guess you can set aside college rivalries in the name of love."

The two exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends on September 24, 2016, at The Venue at 400 North Ervay. It was the right place to make all of their dreams of a romantic, downtown wedding come true.

"I definitely wanted to have the wedding downtown, where Hunter and I live and work," Jordan says. "The Venue at 400 North Ervay had everything I wanted — a rich history, and a beautiful rooftop with a view of downtown. I could not have been happier with it."

Personal touches like vintage pictures of the couple's grandparents next to the couple's engagement photos created special moments throughout the evening. And the couple also used the custom hashtag #LibertyandPhillipsforAll as a place to corral all of their photos on social media.

On the food and drink front, Lakewood Lager and Revolver Blood & Honey, the couple's favorite craft beers, flowed for friends and family to enjoy. Macarons from Savor Pâtisserie served as party favors.

After feasting on catering by Food Glorious Food and cake from Celebrity Bakery, everyone danced the night away to the smooth tunes of Austin-based Rhythm Inc. Then the couple made their exit surrounded by family and friends.
