TV star Leeza Gibbons nestles in for book-signing soiree at Nest
Our celebrity radar went off recently when Leeza Gibbons drew a crowd at Nest, the home and decor favorite on McKinney Avenue. Gibbons was in town to promote her second book, Take 2: Your Guide to Creating Happy Endings and New Beginnings.
Gibbons, an advocate for Alzheimer's research, is best known as co-host of Entertainment Tonight and star of NBC's Leeza. Currently she is co-host of the daily show America Now. In Gibbons' latest read, she shares insights about how to put yourself first and revamp your life.
Jay Billingsley, John McGill and Mark Hopper joined Nest owners Heather Wiese-Alexander and Scott Alexander in welcoming chic guests such as Maggie and George Riba, Betsy and Mark Nanchy, David Fowler, Carmaleta Whiteley, Becky Frey, and 2013 Miss Dallas Monique Evans. American Idol contestant Nicholas McCord of Arlington sang and played guitar.
If there are a few lessons we can learn from Gibbons, it's that life is about working hard and playing hard — and taking care of yourself along the way.
