    Bachelor mania

Bachelor Sean Lowe reveals his quirky side — and sense of humor — in 140 characters or less

    Claire St. Amant
    Mar 3, 2013 | 10:41 am

We all know where to find the blond, blue-eyed Sean Lowe on Monday evenings. But if you'd like to get up close and personal with this season's Bachelor 24/7, then look no further than Twitter.

Lowe's Twitter account shows the Dallas hunk's quirkier side (think hipster glasses and dogs in turtlenecks). Plus it allows the public to see beyond the chiseled abs and whitened teeth that command so much screen time on ABC.

Turns out, our hometown boy has a sense of humor about his bachelor-ness. We wonder, however, if his attitude will change when the girls tell all March 4 at 7 pm.

In the meantime, here are a few of our favorite @SeanLowe09 tweets:

"I'm crazy about you. You have so many amazing qualities. I can see us together in the future." - Me talking to my sushi right now.

    — Sean Lowe (@SeanLowe09) February 27, 2013

For future reference: When someone says "I love you" don't respond with "I love hearing you say that".

    — Sean Lowe (@SeanLowe09) February 26, 2013

After seeing these clips, I'm having second thoughts about sending Tierra home. Is it too late to bring her back?

    — Sean Lowe (@SeanLowe09) February 20, 2013

Whatever you do, don't take a drink after every time I say I'm crazy about someone. You won't make it out alive.

    — Sean Lowe (@SeanLowe09) February 19, 2013

If it looks like I got softer... shut up. That's what no workouts and hotel food will do to ya. #TheBachelor

    Apparently I've been duped. instagr.am/p/U9h-9-AkIJ/

    McKinney is booming.

Editor's note: This week's most-read Dallas headlines included a new report on the best city for renters, an exciting new steakhouse, a construction park developed with Dude Perfect, and more. Read on to see what you missed. Still need weekend plans? Here's some help.

    1. Booming North Dallas neighbor named best U.S. city for renters in 2025. A Dallas-area city is the place to be for renters: According to a report from apartment search website RentCafe, McKinney has earned the title as the No. 1 best U.S. city for renters in 2025.

    2. Dallas chef to open steakhouse in ex-Nick & Sam's near Preston Center. A steakhouse inspired by the open-fire grills of Latin America is coming to north Dallas: Called Casa Brasa, it’ll take over the former Nick & Sam’s at 8111 Preston Rd., in Preston Commons, a block south of Preston Center, at Centenary Road.

    3. Construction theme park developed with Dude Perfect digs into Grapevine. A new kind of entertainment experience is bulldozing into Grapevine: Called Dig World, it's a construction-themed adventure park that will open at 2200 W. Grapevine Mills Cir. at Grapevine Mills.

    4. Jakes Burgers returns to East Dallas with location on Greenville Ave. An iconic burger is coming to Dallas' Greenville Avenue: Jakes Burgers and Beer, the Dallas-based chain featuring burgers, fries, and beer, is opening a location at 4925 Greenville Ave., at the Energy Square development.

    5. Early days of pandemic become a powder keg in tense movie Eddington. Even though a number of productions have attempted to show what life was like during the early days of the pandemic, few have tried to truly reckon with the way lockdowns and restrictions changed people. Filmmaker provocateur Ari Aster does just that in Eddington.
