Mavs' save of St. Paddy's parade tops 5 hottest Dallas headlines

1. Dallas Mavericks' Mark Cuban saves St. Patrick's Day Parade — again. A sigh of relief crosses Greenville Avenue with the return of the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration. The Dallas Mavs St. Patrick's Parade & Festival, presented by the Dallas Mavericks, will commence at 11 am on March 17.
2. Wine and tacos hook up at novel new restaurant in Oak Cliff Dallas. A restaurant opening in Oak Cliff is about to add a new milestone in the pantheon of food-and-drink pairings. Called Taco Y Vino, it's half wine bar, half taqueria, and one quarter wine shop, that will open in a sweet bungalow at 213 W. 8th St., in March.
3. White Rock midcentury marvel built by Dallas titan of tile listed for $7 million. Those who regularly meander the trails and roads around White Rock Lake know there's always been a strong curiosity factor surrounding the huge stone home perched high atop the hill at 4606 Chapel Hill Rd. Now the estate, built by a Dallas businessman known as the "titan of tile," is on the market for $6,995,000.
4. Baton Rouge sports bar owned by NFL superstar makes its Dallas walk-on. There's a new sports bar-restaurant coming to Dallas-Fort Worth that's co-owned by an actual NFL player. Called Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar, it's a Baton Rouge-based chain that will make its debut in Irving, at 3165 Regent Blvd., in fall 2018.
5. Chic Dallasites strut out for Valentino boutique grand opening. Valentino brand ambassador Carlos Souza, along with co-hosts Nasiba Adilova, Tina Craig, and Nancy Rogers, invited Dallas' most glamorous guests to celebrate the grand opening of the luxury brand's latest boutique, in Highland Park Village.
