The 411: Dr. Nathan Wolfe, an author and professor who’s been called the “Indiana Jones of virus hunting,” works around the world to identify and prevent diseases from becoming the next pandemic. (His students helped conceptualize the movie Contagion starring Matt Damon.) Recently Wolfe was in Dallas, preaching the gospel of science to students, philanthropists and city leaders. He also was here to receive the Austin College Posey Leadership Award, presented by college president Marjorie Hass at the Perot Museum.
