Hundreds of A-list art enthusiasts descended on the two-story Fashion Industry Gallery for a special preview gala for the fifth annual Dallas Art Fair that attracts more than 80 local, national and international exhibitors.
Style setters succumbed to the evening's art theme, including Brian Bolke, who rocked pink pants; Marlene Sughrue, dressed in a chic red dress; Sheryl Maas, flaunting a cropped leather top; and Art Ball co-chair Jennifer Karol, who wore an elegant cropped white top with matching structured pencil skirt.
A few others followed suit with bold attire choices. But we're guessing everyone else didn't want to steal the spotlight from the vast collection of art.
In between champagne refills, supporters Lael Brodsky, Jennifer and John Eagle, Murray Woodall, Jason Willford, Laura Noble, Dogan Perese, Capera Ryan, Ginger Price, Lee Zollinger, and John Runyon rendezvoused in the walkways and marveled at the extraordinary works.
Think acrylic, oil, photography, mixed media, silicone, clay, bronze and more. We're still thinking about the resin Hermés pill tabs by Design Obtain Cherish and the mixed-media paintings by Korean artist Shin Heung-Woo.
After purchasing vibrant pieces — and imagining where to place them — guests celebrated their pricey purchases by mingling with fellow buyers in the Ruinart champagne lounges.
Thanks to Dallas Art Fair co-founders Chris Byrne and John Sughrue, and a large host committee of more than 100, the preview gala raised funds for the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Contemporary and Nasher Sculpture Center.
As a token of gratitude, we'll be sending them our credit card bill — sealed with a kiss.
