The 411: Houston chef and Master Chef champion Christine Ha was the star guest at this inaugural fundraiser, which benefited Reading & Radio Resource, whose mission is to create specialized audio content for children and adults with unique reading and learning needs, including those with vision loss. Ha made reality TV history as the first blind contestant on the Fox program — then went on to win the competition. In addition to viewing the impressive samurai collection, guests got to sample signature dishes from Yutaka Sushi Bistro and participate in an authentic sake ceremony. Ticket and raffle sales alone generated an impressive $46,000.
