Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar on the edge of downtown has become one of the hottest spots in Dallas — and we don’t mean the rising temps on the expansive patio. We’re talking about the throngs of hot young professionals on the scene for the White Party.
These 400 budding philanthropists — dressed in white, natch — were there representing Young Friends of the Wilkinson Center, and the evening’s festivities helped the group reach its $60,000 fundraising goal.
Dresses, suits and exquisite white florals aside, the fete could easily have been mistaken for a purple and blue bash, because the entire outdoor space was drenched in colorful lights. It was hardly your average fundraiser, either, as aerialists and flame throwers provided exciting entertainment.
Fueled by tequila and Jell-o shots, partiers — including Alexis Barbier-Mueller, Maria Manas, Diego Lorenzo, Kelly Shaw, Horacio Moros, Katie and Sam Peck, Laura Reeder, Hillary Hall, Jodi Fuller, and Zack Lamp — broke it down on the dance floor and hammed it up in the CultureMap-sponsored Longhorn Photo Booth.
Later, scenesters noshed on late-night bites such as tacos, flat breads and hot dogs as DJ Neo Safari spun beats until way past midnight.
Although everyone was there to have a good time, they remained steadfast in their purpose: to support the center and its efforts to help families escape poverty. Among the devotees on the scene: Sandra Colic, Ray King, Cassie Taylor, Samantha Nash, Ben Davis, Lauren McHenry, Joe Johnson, Elena Kuperman, Jamie Bloom and Jane Slater.
All tallied, the fundraiser raked in $23,860 for the Wilkinson Center.
