Honoring a Legacy
Todd Fiscus and friends kick off 60th anniversary bash for Legacy Senior Communities
Legacy Senior Communities supporters recently gathered at the home of Carol Aaron, chairman of the board of trustees, for a preview party and cocktail fete honoring its sponsors. This was just one of many events in celebration of the nonprofit’s 60 years of service, which will culminate with “The Yes! Event: One Special Night” on November 9 at the Omni Dallas hotel.
“We wanted to host this pre-event sponsor party to thank all of the people and organizations that have been dedicated to the success of the Legacy Senior Communities and its residents,” Aaron said. “This year’s event in November will highlight the deep history of this wonderful organization and will give our supporters a preview of its exciting plans for the future.”
Ken Topolsky, producer of the popular television series Dallas, was among the notable guests in attendance. At the November gala, he will present a raffle item that will give a lucky winner the opportunity to spend a day in the life of a Hollywood producer.
Event planner extraordinaireTodd Fiscus gave guests a taste of his exciting plans for “The Yes! Event.”
“We all know Carol loves a vision, and that is exactly what I plan to create for 'The Yes! Event' in November,” Fiscus said. “The event will take everyone on a 60-year tour, highlighting various decades with different food, music and entertainment. It is a pleasure to be a part of this momentous celebration, and it is a wonderful opportunity to help our seniors.
The Legacy Senior Communities has provided housing and healthcare options for the Jewish elderly and other area seniors for six decades. Fundraising support for “The Yes! Event” has been provided by 138 sponsors who have given more than $375,000 to date.
