20th Anniversary Omakase Menu at Nobu
This fall, Nobu celebrates 20 years since the opening of its first outpost in New York City. In honor of that occasion, every U.S. Nobu location is offering a one-night special 20th anniversary omakase dinner. The "20 Years in 20 Bites" menu features five courses of four bites each, along with 20th anniversary signature cocktails. Expect crispy rice with spicy tuna, toro tartare, sashimi salad, mini bento box and more. Price is $120 a person. You can reserve your seat by calling 214-252-7000.

2014 Addison Oktoberfest at Addison Circle Park
Enjoy four days of German entertainers in authentic costumes performing traditional Bavarian folk dances, oompah music, sing-a-longs and yodels; a special Oktoberfest Paulaner bier; and German sausage, sauerkraut, strudel and giant pretzels. Register for a full-service dining experience at Chamberlain's Brau Haus for $49 a person, or buy individual tickets to the festival itself, starting at just 10 bucks a pop. The festival opens at 6 pm on both Thursday and Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday.

2014 Beer, Bourbon and Brisket Festival at Panther Island Pavilion
This event, happening from 5-11 pm, features a mix of tasty barbecue, rootsy rock and a variety of games. Purchase food from a variety of BBQ vendors while enjoying tunes from Rise & Shine, Hazardous Dukes, Foxtrot Uniform, Dovetail, The Roomsounds and J Charles & the Trainrobbers. The spirits and craft beer sampling area, complete with commemorative glassware, showcases some of the best local and regional breweries and distilleries around. Tickets cost $10-$30, and you can buy them online.

The Great Texas Food Truck Rally at Reverchon Park
In addition to fare from the tastiest Dallas food trucks, enjoy a beer garden sponsored by the Nodding Donkey and live music by The Spazmatics and Hard Night's Day. Fun starts at noon, and tickets are $10. All proceeds go to Executives in Action.
Child Protection Connection presents Boot Scootin', BBQ & Block Party at Gilley's Dallas
This indoor family festival features country music and dancing, Texas BBQ, and block party-style games the whole family can enjoy. The event includes an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for country line dance, as well as meet-and-greets with Dallas Mavericks dancers and Mavs ManiAACs. The fun takes place from 1-6 pm, and tickets for this afternoon of entertainment only set you back $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Buy them online.

DeMarco Murray Foundation Celebrity Waiter Night at Ocean Prime
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and teammates are serving up dinner at Ocean Prime for the second annual Celebrity Waiter Night presented by Albertsons. Guests enjoy a Beertail Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch at 7 pm, followed by table service by the football superstars starting at 8. Enjoy three courses of Ocean Prime's signature cuisine, fine wine and an exciting auction. Proceeds benefit the DeMarco Murray Foundation and its mission to help children in need in greater Dallas. Tickets range in price from $250-$350 and can be purchased online.
Rabbit Hole Beer Dinner at State & Allen Lounge
