If you don't have tickets to the 2014 edition of TEDxSMU, taking place Saturday, November 1, at Dallas City Performance Hall — of if you prefer to feed your mind from the comforts of your own home — you can watch the day-long talks via live stream.
Themed "Strangely Familiar," the event features an array of speakers, from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame CEO Greg Harris to Dr. Deborah Clegg, a leading expert in fat cell biology. Topics will intersect where the strange meets the familiar, familiar subjects will be viewed with a different lens and strange ideas will be made relatable. Participants will travel to prisons in Africa then back to the super-bugs in our own backyard.
The live stream starts at 10 am and runs through 6 pm. Here is the complete schedule:
