1. Liberty Burger restaurant chain closes 4 locations around Dallas. Dallas burger chain Liberty Burger is experiencing some shrinkage. Founded in 2011 by Mariel Street, daughter of longtime Dallas restaurateur Gene Street, Liberty has closed four locations, including its only branch in Tarrant County.
2. Get your free tree from the city of Dallas and beat climate change. The city of Dallas is introducing a new program that gives away free trees. Called Branch Out Dallas, the program provides residents with a tree at no cost for their home.
3. White-hot theme draws art world angels at Dallas' Two x Two First Look. The clouds parted, the rain cleared, and art magic happened at the Rachofsky House, the scene for the 2018 rendition of the annual Two x Two First Look. The official mission: preview fine art being auctioned off for Two x Two for Aids and Art, the annual event benefitting the Foundation for AIDS Research and the Dallas Museum of Art.
4. 4 Albertsons and Tom Thumb grocery stores in Dallas area will close. Four supermarkets in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are scheduled to close on December 1. Two are Albertsons stores; the other two are Tom Thumbs.
5. Beer haus restaurant with rock star cred debuts in Dallas' District 9. A new beer bar and restaurant is coming to Dallas with a charming local angle. Called District 9 Draught Haus, it's named for the East Dallas council district in which it resides, and with a celebrity tie, too.
